My wife wanted a down comforter for Christmas this year, and I started shopping. The price on this comforter was unbeatable, and the thread count and fill power could not be beat at this price point in department stores. $135 for a $400 comforter (66% off) was an amazing price. Based on other Royal Hotel reviews, I decided to give this one a try.

It arrived quickly and well-packaged. It was basically vacuum-packed into its bag, and is extremely flat when unpacked. The insert lets you know that you need to fluff it up a bit, and it will reach normal appearance and feeling in several hours, which is true. It looks and feels very nice on its own, but we did purchase a duvet cover to protect it.

This is a very soft, warm comforter. Its weight makes you feel like you're being hugged by clouds all night, and I haven't slept better in a long time. I definitely recommend this brand.

I find this to be a great product.
As my bones have grown older and my joints crankier I've tried several different mattresses, some better than others, some pricier than others, but for the first time I can say this is simply the best one I've slept on so far.
It is soft enough while firm enough as to provide great comfort to a person like me, with joint-related issues. I can sleep all night without having to wake up to move for a while and without more tossing and turning. I wake up in the morning fully rested, with no pain or discomfort whatsoever.
In my case, I did not experience the problem of strong chemical odor other reviewers have referred to, the mattress expanded really fast and evenly, and after a fairly long trial period I am completely satisfied with the product.
I will not say it may be the best mattress out there, but it is the best of the many I've tried, and the price is excellent.
I will keep it.

Alera Fraze High-Back Swivel/Tilt Chair, Black Leather Review

First of all, I dont think there is a better value on Amazon right now than this chair in the 125-140 range. It is well made and comfortable with the basic options of swivel, height adjust, tilt (the whole chair, not the back) and tilt lock. The control on the side is easy to use and the range of height is great for me (6'3") and my wife and kids (5'6"+). The chair is also fairly wide, it will easily fit a person who exceeds the recommended weight limits. What I mean is, if you weigh 300+ pounds, you can fit in this chair, but the chair isn't made to support that much weight. The Leather-ish stuff is comfortable and appears durable enough. The arms are perfectly positioned for me. I expect this chair to last a long time because of how well its made.

Now to a couple problems. First of all the back tilts back a bit too much in relation to the seat. This is not adjustable. Tension of the tilting action for the whole seat is adjustable, but there is no way to change the alignment of the seat to the back as they are bolted together with the arms. So while this chair is extremely comfortable while sitting watching TV, etc. it is not the best for sitting at a desk typing (like I am doing right now). I am ok with this, my wife can't stand it at all. It seems like this is more of a chair you would sit at in a meeting than one you are going to constantly be working at a desk with.

Another thing to know is that this chair isn't the easiest to assemble. Personally I dont think this is a major issue because you only have to do this once, however it is worth noting. Leaving all the bolts loose until you get everything threaded is a good start, but you will have to use some brute force to align all the holes, and some finesse because the lether-ish stuff will try and get in the way. Directions are acceptable, and there are even a couple extra parts plus the only tool you need is included. It took me about 45 minutes to put it together and I have assembled a lot of different products.

One other thing to note is that if you have any sensitivity to chemical smells... well this thing reeks from the manufacturing process. I have never had anything like this smell so strongly of chemicals. We stuck it outside in the sunshine two days before it faded enough to be able to bring it into the house. You know that new car smell? Think about that x100 and you get the idea. Once again, this isn't a major issue for most people because it does fade to acceptable levels withing a couple days. I will be glad when it is totally aired out though!

Its not perfect, but you will have to pay a lot more to get one thats better. It arrived within the Amazon delivery window, about a week and half after I ordered it and was well packaged.

I actually read all the reviews before I made my purchase because it did not have the best rating. I noticed how a lot of them complained that it was damaged upon delivery and/or that it was poorly made and had chips and broken pieces. I gave the company the benefit of the doubt and decided to buy the platform bed and I have to admit that I am very pleased with the product. It feels sturdy, looks nice and probably is best for young adults. I do have some tips so make sure you read them all. Oh and it was delivered intact without a scratch!

1. I strongly suggest using a drill !

2. The item is heavy about 125 lbs so if you are by yourself or even with another person I suggest bringing it as close to your front door as possible and open the package there. Bring every piece to the room you will be using it in because it wont move after you finish it. Be careful not to damage the product whilst transporting the pieces. It will dent and scratch if not handled with care.

3. While assembling the bed, I suggest using wood glue for every screw and dowel used it will help secure the screws and make for a stronger, more reliable bed. Also using wood glue is good because if you ever have to take it apart unscrewing the screws wont strip the wood instead it will strip the glue a bit and you can always put more glue in after.

4. So the directions kind of suck... It says to put the platforms ( unfinished wood) on first then the railings on second (the pieces of finished wood that will secure the mattress. Bad idea . PUT THE SIDE RAILINGS ON FIRST ON THE PLATFORMS THAT WILL BE GOING ON THE EDGES OF THE BED. The railing that goes on the front of the bed, well you will just have to either screw it on manually with a screw driver, which means laying on your back, or get someone to help you lift it high enough where you can put something underneath to support it so you can use a drill.

5. Make sure the platforms all are even and use those pieces of wood as a measuring device before using the screws !

Its a good deal for the price.

Black & Decker LHT2436 24-Inch 36-Volt Cordless Hedge Trimmer Review

This is the third cordless hedge trimmer I've owned. The first two (made by Ryobi)were affordable and easy to use, but neither seemed up to the tasks I bought them to do. They frequently ended up being overwhelmed by what I considered a moderate workload and their battery life was, in a word, short (think 10-15 minutes of trimming at a stretch). So after giving up on those models I decided to get the new Black & Decker LHT2436 Cordless Hedge Trimmer and see what a 36-volt battery could do.

Quick answer: a 36-volt battery is a game changer. Longer answer: a 36-volt battery provides both the power and the capacity to do at least an hour of varied trimming without a recharge - which is pretty awesome performance at this price point.

Aside from my power and capacity requirements, I also wanted a trimmer that could handle more than some light hedge work. The Black & Decker LHT2436 Trimmer is supposed to cut through a 3/4" branch, and I am happy to confirm that that specification is accurate. I was able to cut through both branches and vines that size without too much strain. After a few weeks of regular use, the trimmer seems to be holding up quite well.

The other major factor in terms of product satisfaction is ergonomics, and this is where the Black & Decker LHT2436 Trimmer really excels. It's extremely well balanced and the reduction in vibration compared to other models I've used is remarkable. That alone reduces the fatigue factor significantly, and the relatively light weight completes the package. This trimmer is well designed and you can feel it every time you use it.

This is definitely a five-star product, and well worth a serious look if you're in the market for a cordless trimmer.
