I've tried three different infrared heaters over the past month. The first was a $400 Comfort Furnace I purchased at Tractor Supply. I just couldn't justify keeping it (I needed two) when I could return it and buy two on Amazon for the price of one Comfort Furnace.

Here are the reasons I love this heater:
-It has a great oscillating option which helps move the heat around the room more efficiently.
-Option to view on the display the temp at which you set the unit, or the room temp. I find this very handy when I'm wondering what the temp is and when it might cut off.
-Low and High. Low uses half the wattage but doesn't compromise on the heat. The heat is so warm you can barely hold your hand in front of the output register for more than a couple of seconds. The other heaters I tried were blowing warm air on their low setting.
-Well constructed.
-Not super quiet but not noisy. A low, unobtrusive humming.

I have this in about a 700 sq ft space and have it set on "low" 60 so it is running fairly constantly. The auto temp is working however because I noticed last night it did cut off several times after reaching and maintaining my requested temperature, which is great.

Unfortunately, the humidifier leaked hence the four star rating. I contacted Amazon and they are sending me a replacement. Once I receive the replacement I will send this back (as to not go without heat I'm so happy they could do this for me). I read several other reviews stating the humidifier leaked/didn't work properly. I will report back once I receive the replacement. I'm really hoping I will receive a unit that has a working humidifier because I plan on using this feature a lot (and putting drops of essential oils into my water bottles).

UPDATE - ok so the replacement unit humidifier did not work either so I returned that one, too. The heater worked so great so I thought I would try one more time. The third replacement had a working humidifier! You can tell right away if it is going to leak. Find the plastic bottle adapter that best fits your bottle size/shape. Fill the bottle with water, screw on the adapter/top and hold it upside down. If there is ANY water dripping from the bottle, it will leak once you place it into the humidifier holder. I really wanted this product to work because I diffuse essential oils and thought I could place a few drops of essential oils into the water bottle and the humidifier would diffuse the scent into the air. In retrospect, after all of the return hassles, I wish I would have bought the one without the humidifier and used the extra money to buy a nice diffuser. Lesson learned. I still stand my my review that this is an excellent heater. I ran two all winter as my primary heating source and my electric bill only increased by $30.00 per month.

One more thing - some infrared heater makers advise placing the unit on a sturdy tabletop or desk for larger areas. I found the unit to be significantly more efficient in my large areas while placed directly on the floor.

Cleaning your Convection Toaster Oven

Step 1: Turn oven off, then unplug unit and let it cool.

Step 2: Wipe unit down with damp cloth. Do NOT immerse in water. Make sure to use only mild, soapy water.

Step 4: Shake off crumbs from crumb tray. Cleaning the crumb tray often will avoid any accumulations.

Waring Pro TCO650 Digital Convection Oven Review

My shocking recent discoveries about the safety of microwaves prompted me to search for something that wouldn't change the DNA structure of the food I eat. A little convection oven seemed to be the `it' amongst the `microwave haters' so I landed on that option. Furthermore, I found out there are gazillion little ovens and most coated with non-stick coatings that leaks toxic fumes into food and as research shows, kills birds. Why would I want to eliminate microwave for something just as toxic? So I began my search for a coating free convection oven. There are none! I gathered a list of every company that makes these ovens and called each one. None...besides Waring. All of Waring's ovens have no coatings. Why I chose this particular oven out of all of their ovens? Here is why:

The looks:
It is stainless steel with a very modern twist to it. It is an upgrade of the previous model TCO600 they made which is known to be very durable from the reviews!

Reviews:
I compared all of the reviews and called the company verifying the information I read. The company was very honest and even admitted issues with some of their more expensive ovens. Majority of my conclusions to choose this model came from the reviews of the previous model because there weren't any reviews available for the TCO650. The reviews regarding the older model were very consistent and generally with no issues. You will always find few products with problems or customers who are blaming the product catching on fire when putting paper in it but you have to look for the same issues on a product that occurred over 30 times, in my opinion, to make proper judgment. For example: based on the 30 reviews I read, I concluded Waring's CO900B and CO1500B models have problems with the door staying closed. When I called to verify the company honestly admitted there is a flaw in their design and they are working on a new design!

Customer service:
One of the best. I called 10 times. Each time I didn't have to wait long and team members were very helpful and HONEST. They gained my trust. I know that if anything happened to this product in the years down the road Waring would stand behind their products.

Quality and more:
I love the durability of Waring's products. So far, I have had this oven for 4 months and not one problem! It works great and heats up to the temperature on the digital clock. The oven cooks FAST so be very careful not to burn your food. I have cooked chicken in it, baked, toasted, heat up food. I use it at least 3 times a day. The maximum clock set up is 2 hours. So if a dish needs to be cooked for more than 2 hours that can be a little inconvenient to have to come back and restart the clock. The `beep' sound when the oven is ready to use and when the food is done is very loud and can probably wake up a dead person. BUT, it doesn't bother me at all because I always forget about me heating up food in it, etc. It is an oven, so it does get hot on the outside. Please wear gloves! It comes with 2 racks and a crumb tray that pulls out from the front. All trays and racks should be hand washed only! It has plenty of room inside for everyday use. The oven itself cooks awesome and evenly. The food is always juicy and well done on the inside yet has a very nice crunchy skin on the outside, depending on the temperature you set the oven to (I'm thinking about my coconut wings here hmmmmm). The makeup of the Waring oven seem very durable and simple and comes with a 5 year warranty. You don't even need to read instructions to figure out how it works. I am not a technology savvy person so this works perfect for me! The oven does require 6 inch space from the wall when stands on the counter for the fan and air to work properly.

Price:
The price is unbeatable considering how much I use this oven and the fact that it is green!! I bought it under $90 on Amazon.

Blendtec Twister Jar Review

It goes without saying that we love our BlendTec Total Blender, and use it at least once a day to whip up our daily green smoothies. I can't imagine life without it; it has earned a permanent place on our countertop.

Could the Total Blender possibly be improved upon? Well, since you asked...YES, and the BlendTec Twister Jar does the trick. We use nut butters in cooking fairly regularly, but have you checked the price of almond butter lately? Yikes! I did a down-and-dirty analysis that proved to me that the purchase of this (admittedly pricey) accessory would pay for itself in about a year, assuming that we made our own nut butters. Well, when the Twister Jar arrived today, the first thing I did (after a quick wash, of course) was to whip up a batch of almond butter. A cup and a half of raw almonds, pop the special Twister lid on the jar, cranked the BlendTec up to 7 and turned the Twister lid in a counter-clockwise direction. It took about 90 seconds to reach the consistency that I wanted, but when I opened the lid, the aroma of warm almond butter filled the air. Having just baked some whole wheat bread that was cooling on the counter, I couldn't resist slicing off a piece and slathering on some of this heady mix, and it was wonderful -- smooth, warm, creamy, perfectly blended.

So, now we own the BlendTec Total Blender, the Wildside Jar, the Four-sided Jar, the Twister Jar, as well as the BlendTec home flour mill, and I have to say that the investment in these quality-made products is absolutely among the best purchases we've made. National Tree 7 1/2' Dunhill Fir Tree, Hinged (DUH-75) Review

I found this exact tree on another site for twice as much. I hadn't thought to check Amazon, so I ordered it there. They used some shipping company I had never heard of and lost my package. It was an incredibly bad experience and took a week to get my refund after I told them I was fed up.
I wish I had come to Amazon first! The tree had an estimated shipping date of 3-5 business days, and I am a Prime member (free 2 day shipping <3!), so the estimated arrival was 5-7 days. It arrived on my doorstep via UPS in less than 24 hours!!!
The tree itself is fantastic. The reviews on the other site said that it had a tendency to shed a lot while you fluff it. I did not find that to be the case. I counted exactly four "needles" on the floor when I was done fluffing. The shape is a bit irregular, perhaps slightly more so than in the photograph. I like that, though. It looks more realistic from a distance. There are TONS of branches, and the manufacturer's website has a useful video on how to fluff the tree so it looks completely full.
Despite the massive number of branches and the fact that I am more than two feet shorter than the tree, I was able to put it up by myself in just under two hours.
There are nice little hooks hidden in the ends of the major branches that are perfect for holding your lights. I recommend about 400 lights for this size tree.
In the picture, it looks like it has one little stringy branch at the top to hold your star. There is actually a sturdy bit of pole there to hold your star, and the little branch they pulled straight up in the picture can be wrapped around the base of your star to hold it in place. Most stars have a metal coil for their base, and I found the set up of this tree to be well suited to that sort of base. For people who use angels, you can simply pull that branch down and out with the rest and use the pole to hold your angel up.
"CONS:" The tree is a little more irregularly shaped than the photo. As I said, I like it that way. Others might not. It also sits closer to the ground than the stand in the picture would have you believe. I am not sure I like the amount of space I have to squeeze in all of my presents. I'll add a picture to my review once I have the tree fully decorated with a few presents underneath. I think I will put some furniture risers under the corners of the stand.
Overall, I recommend this tree very highly. If you are disappointed by all the straggly trees you see in stores with exposed center poles, this is a MUCH better way to go. Trees this nice are often found in the 4-digit price range, making this one a total steal!

UPDATE: I do not know how to upload a picture, so here is a video. I zoomed in on some of the "irregular" spots. It's really just a couple of branches that stick out a little. To be honest, I think that they actually help to make the tree more realistic looking.
I also did go ahead with the 7 inch bed risers under the stand. It was a huge pain in the gluteus maximus to get them under a fully assembled tree, so I strongly recommend getting them BEFORE you put your tree up. :-)
I've had two people comment that they thought the tree was real until their nose (and lack of allergies) told them otherwise.
