I love this bench! It matches my furniture perfectly, went together easily, arrived promptly, and looks great. 'Can't beat the price for such a sturdy and attractive bench. My only comment is the baskets really are a bit small- maybe 2 larger ones instead of 3 would be better. They could be bigger, as the shelf is larger. The baskets are pretty and nice blended color to the wood. They are also sturdy, but I put felt dots on the bottom so they don't scratch the shelf. I found a site that custom makes cushions at a reasonable price to fit any demensions and I will use it to have the cushion made. No premade cushions could be found to fit it- it'd be great to offer a cushion in assorted colors or even just in brown to match the wood.

**Update 24 Sept: Customer service sent a new head unit for the patio heater and it WORKS! It puts off a very good amount of heat, and has a good reach diameter. This is actually a nice heating unit. So I would give it 5 stars, but the back and forth to get a functioning head unit counts against the overall rating. Maybe my experience was a one-off. Even with the issues I recommend this patio heater.

Bought this product to use on my home patio. It's a great looking heater with quality construction. It didn't take too long to assemble, and assembly was easy and straightforward. The problem is that is simply doesn't work. It lights just fine, but as soon as the temperature knob is released (you have to hold it in to start the heater) the pilot light goes out. This makes it completely unusable. After some searches on google, it appears it could be a tilt indicator problem or a thermocouple failure. I contacted the manufacturer directly, but did not receive a call back for a week. Called again and was assured I would have a response within one business day. Side note: I called during the customer support business hours, but the message said "The office is closed." I was able to press 0 and speak with a live person, but all they could do was assure me someone would get back to me. It's really unfortunate this heater doesn't work because it "looks" like a great product.

Not sure what happened to the other reviewer, but I'd suggest he call the manufacturer as other reviews for their products suggested they were very accommodating if there was a problem (part of the reason I took a chance on this even though there were no reviews at the time).

Anyway...I bought this as a microwave stand for my kitchen. We need extra storage under our microwave and I hate having just a big open area like most microwave stands have, so this fit the bill nicely. Cake mixes and baking-type items fit on one shelf of the storage area on the left with the door, and 3 full bags of chips fit on the bottom (with still a bit of room left over for a big canister of oatmeal and other odds and ends). On the open shelves, I have one basket with food in it, and on the bottom is room to store all of my cookbooks (2 rows, one behind the other). The drawer does not have any rollers, but it still a nice size for potholders, chip clips, and other odds and ends. I wouldn't put stuff in there that needs to be accessed every day because it might not hold up.

I am VERY pleased with how sturdy this thing is. Other than a few pieces, it is real wood. And if you've searched for a kitchen cart/microwave stand in this price range elsewhere you know that's pretty hard to find. The butcher block top is very nice, but I don't think I'd use it as a cutting board. It would probably hold up OK, but would lose its nice gloss. My largeish microwave lives on top of it and there is still some room to spare on either side. It's also nice that since I will not be moving my cart (other than to clean behind it occasionally), it has locking wheels.

I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely look to Preston Hollow brand again if I needed any more affordable but non-cheap and non-ghetto-looking kitchen storage (well, I DO need it, I just don't have space for it! ugh.).

Hamilton Beach 932 Commercial Citrus Juicer, Black Review

I bought this juicer after trying an orangex juicer that broke on the 4th orange I put through it. My Hamilton-Beach juicer has lasted through a whole bag now, so here's the scoop:

Good things:

1) Rack & pinion action effectively transfers the applied force to the squeezer. There's no off-axis force so you don't have to worry about the whole darn thing tipping over when you bear down.

2) Gratifyingly simple to disassemble and clean.

3) The metal grate's edges are machined smooth - - no worries about getting cut (one of the problems I had with the orangex product).

4) When you remove your juice glass, a drip cup swings into place to keep residual juice drippings off your countertop. That is a very user-friendly design element.

5) The mechanism does a good job of extracting all of the juice.

6) The resulting juice did not have any hint of strong citrus oil.

Other things:

For a product that bills itself as "professional grade", it seems like it could be easy to overpower & break something if you 'hang on the lever'. I would not be too overzealous about squeezing the last drops if dealing with a grapefruit or a really big orange, for fear of breaking something. But for lemons, limes, and standard size oranges it seems just fine.

While the unit doesn't weigh very much, it's pretty tall -- about 20" in its fully-down, storage position -- so storage may be an issue for some.

....you really, really have to take the time to air it out first. The chemical smell is strong, although it is not overly unpleasant. It kind of reminds me of the new car smell.

Seriously, plan on waiting a week for the mattress to air out before using it or storing it. If you are storing it on your sofa bed, tucked away, make certain to let it relax once you pull out the bed.

I am using it as a topper on my regular mattress and it is very, very comfortable. I hate getting out of bed now....
