True Stretch - True Stretch - Model 969150 Review

While I have not purchased this personally, the True Stretch has been installed in our apartment complex's gym. The first several workouts I ignored this contraption thinking it was some gimmicky thing. I do a moderate workout just about every day, and lift machine weights every other day. Before using the True Stretch my arms would experience the typical soreness and tension you would expect the day after a workout, and then the dreaded second-day soreness would be even worse. Again, that is typical, even if you stretch using conventional stretching.

With this machine I literally have ZERO soreness the next day, and nearly zero soreness on day two. I follow the recommendations for stretching provided by the chart for whatever exercise I have done that day. I also follow the instructions: perform each stretch for three to five seconds, rest, and repeat twice more.

The first stretch, if done per instructions correctly, you can feel you muscles open up. It's a crazy feeling I have never experienced. The second stretch you feel it less-so. The third stretch feels like a conventional stretch... that tells me my conventional stretching prior to discovering this machine has been much less effective. It also tells me that my muscles have been actually stretched effectively.

I do about seven different stretches three times (some take six times because you are stretching two arms, or two legs rather than one neck or one lower back) each. It takes only a few minutes to open up all of your muscles you have used.

I wish this item cost less and I would buy one for my own place. Definitely something every community gym should get, as well as every 1%er who works out!

This machine represents the most incredible value-for-money on the market today. It is very, very easy to use, and the manual is exceptionally helpful. It comes with every foot and accessory you could ever possibly need. In fact, there is nothing more you can buy for it. Compare that to the other sewing machine manufacturers, which give you only the most basic feet and then you must purchase everything else separately. If you have been hankering for the convenience of fully computerized sewing, automatic needle threading, push-button sewing, and lots of fun stitches, don't hesitate. I highly recommend this machine. I've owned very expensive machines from all the top manufacturers, and would not recommend it if the stitches were not beautiful or if it were loud or junky. This was given to me as a gift (I'm ashamed to say I would probably have walked right past it because of its low price) and I love it so much, I have gone on to buy the Brother serger here on Amazon, and also a $999.00 Brother Innovis, which is another tremendous bargain. I was really pleased to see that even the more expensive machine uses the same bobbins and feet as this one, and this has many of the same features. This $200 machine comes iwth virtually all the same attachments as the $1000 one.

This is the machine that some of the larger sewing and quilting expos are using in their workshops now because they are so lightweight, easy to learn, and reliable. High end Berninas and Vikings are just too complicated for people to sit down and learn at in a classroom setting, and they are way too expensive. This machine is the Featherweight of the 21st century, with tons of stitches and fun built in. Go for it!!!

LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon 7965 Review

This is a massive and amazing set. I'm a huge fan of the original trilogy and lego so have been wanting to get a Millennium Falcon set for several years. Unfortunately I found most of them either far to expensive, or simply not worth the asking price. This one finally hit the sweet spot for me. For $139.99 (or cheaper if you buy it on Amazon or find it on sale) you get six minifigures and a 1200+ piece model that is nearly perfect.

The first thing that I truly love is that the set is pretty much in scale so that you can place all the figures in familiar settings inside the ship. The roof of the Falcon is made up of folding panels that can be opened to reveal most of the interior of the ship. They've included the table where they played virtual chess, Luke's training droid, as well as control panels and beds. The cockpit is a separate section but still fits a figure (I've got Han on pilot duty naturally), and they even managed to work in the dual seat gunners pod and the hidden smugglers compartment.

As for the Minifigures, you get Han and Chewie of course, Luke and Ben Kenobi, and Leia and Darth Vader round things out. I would have liked to see R2-D2 and C-3PO included but that's just a nit pick. Figures come with light sabers for the Jedi and blasters for the rest along with Chewie's crossbow.

The entire set took me about three and a half hours to assemble, which considering I haven't put together even a small set in years seemed like a pretty quick job. The instructions are very easy to follow with the parts nicely separated out into various numbered bags which I assume is standard Lego practice now.

Highly recommend this one if you want a Lego Millennium Falcon. Price is great and the quality is outstanding.
