Everything about this desk is exactly what I wanted. The assembly was easier than expected - all I needed was a phillips screwdriver and the pieces they provided - and the instructions were very clear. The whole thing probably took me about an hour or two to put together and I wasn't exactly going for record time. The only annoying thing is that to make the desk top flat again after elevating it, you have to lift it up until it's almost vertical for the mechanism to release, meaning you can't easily make it flat if you're in the middle of a painting or have too many supplies in the side trays. It doesn't seem to be a huge problem if you're careful, though, and I'm still very glad I chose this desk over the other options I had been considering. The glass top is beautiful and I'm excited to use it with a light under it as a light table. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an art/craft/drafting desk. It's pretty great.
