This set of four mugs is my go-to xmas/birthday present this year. Several of my friends have made it a regular habit to mix up Moscow Mule cocktails, and these are the perfect mug to serve them in. These are hand-hammered, and you can feel the quality of the craftsmanship when you hold the mug in your hand. Other copper mugs I considered appeared to be thinner gauge, and pressed out with a machine; not these! They are a little more expensive I guess, but I think it's worth it, to have something hand-made and sturdy.

Furthermore, I did some research on the company before I made this purchase as well: the owner Jonathan is a small businessman from Austin, Texas, and all of his goods are made in a workshop in Michoacan, Mexico, by local craftsmen continuing the traditions of the region that are hundreds of years old. He has been working with the same copper artisans, in the same town, for over a decade. Furthermore, he is personally involved with the design of each product. These details mean a lot to me when I am deciding where to spend my money: a locally owned business working directly with traditional craftsmen using traditional methods, resulting in beautiful and unique items that stand out from the mass-produced and machined stuff.

My only regret is I didn't have enough money on hand to buy one of the absolutely stunning Sertodo Paella Pans, but I'm saving up for that already!
