I was a little nervous ordering a whole mattress off Amazon and having it shipped to me. I did not know what to expect!

Let me tell you - when it arrived I was stunned, then I was even more nervous, then I was pleasantly surprised. The box it comes in does not appear as if it will hold a crib mattress, let alone one for a full size bed.

However - it is vacuum packed and rolled. And the instructions for releasing it couldn't be clearer. Put it on the bed first, cut the packaging, watch it unroll.

After that - I was nervous that the quality of the mattress would be less than stellar. Couldn't have been more wrong! We've all slept on this mattress at one time or another. Guests have slept on it as well. No complaints - this is a firm, but comfortable mattress!

We're very happy with this purchase - and the free shipping didn't hurt either!

Addendum, 2012: In order to remove the water tank effortlessly, you need to OPEN the lid of the water container. There are latches on the lid itself which engage when the lid is closed! If you open the lid, the tank comes off without any resistance. If you keep it closed and try to remove the tank, you will have to force it and and will break the plastic. II've been using my Pixie for a year multiple times a day and it still runs perfectly. I descale the unit every 4-5 months and I've never had any problems with leakage after it's been descaled. One year in and my Pixie is jsut as good as the day I bought it.

I previously used a Tassimo system as my primary coffee maker but moved to a Nespresso Pixie when Starbucks dropped Tassimo. Since I've switched to the Pixie, I couldn't be happier and I've never had coffee this good at home.

First of all, the Pixie is a very stylish machine and it seems extremely solid in construction. The Pixie is made of aluminum and heavy plastic and it feels very substantial to handle/use. Secondly, the machine has a surprisingly small footprint, which is very nice if space is at a premium. I've only had my Pixie for a month but I use it about three times a day and so far, nary a whiff of any reliability issues. No leaking or inconsistent coffee temperatures, as reported by one reviewer.

The coffee produced by this machine is wondrous! No it doesn't produced shots which are equivalent to those coming out of an $8000.00 industrial espresso machine however, for a single shot pod system, the coffee the Nespresso Pixie makes is excellent. Consistently good aroma, body, taste and crema, commensurate with the stated characteristics listed in the Nesspresso classification for each type I've tried. I tend to drink lattes most of the time however I've consumed at least one of each type I received in the LARGE (200 shot) "Welcome order" as a strait espresso/lungo and all of them were firmly between good and great to my tastes.

Operation of this machine is drop-dead simple. Lift the large bar up and the Pixie top opens up, drop in a Nespresso pod, pull the bar down and press one of the two brew buttons (espresso & lungo) on the top. Thirty seconds later, enjoy your beverage. One beautiful design feature is that the next time you swing the bar up and open the Pixie, the previous Nespresso pod falls into a catch basin which holds 12 or so spent pods. When the container is full, the entire piece pulls away from the unit along with a drip tray for disposal or recycling of the used pods. No fuss, no mess, a 25 second boot time from power-on to brewing and great coffee to boot.

If you like espresso drinks and are extremely busy or don't want to deal with the mess, hassle and complication of a traditional machine, it's really hard to beat the Nespresso Pixie in form, function and price. I love mine so much I might have to order a second unit for my parents house. Each time I go back to visit them, I can't stand the fact that I don't have access to good coffee without driving out to Starbucks and throwing 5 dollars down a hole. With my Pixie (along with my Capresso milk frother) I can quickly make a latte which is almost as good for less than $1.50. In my opinion, if any product ever deserved a mythic sixth star, the Nespresso Pixie is it!

Addendum, June 2012: I've had my Pixie for about nine months now and I have zero problems to report. This little work horse keeps chugging along through multiple uses each day without incident. I did have to descale the Pixie after six months and I used the Nespresso descaling kit to accomplish the task...also worked like a charm. My water reservoir hasn't developed any cracks, as described by another reviewer, and I still heartily recommend my Nespresso Pixie.

Update, January 2013: My Pixie is still chugging along without incident. I use it daily and descale it every six months and so far, not a whiff of any mechanical problems. The Pixie is built like a tank.

I was so excited when my package arrived since I gave my old armoire to my daughter. When I opened the package and started putting it together I was quickly disappointed in the quality of the product. The drawers are either hard to open or open so easy that you have to be careful not to drop all the contents (jewelry) that is in it. The only place to put rings is located under the top where the mirror is and there is only one small square of that space. I ended up having to put the rest of my rings in a clump in one of the compartments which pretty much defeats the purpose of displaying them to have easy access. There were a few scratches and what looks like paint drips on the side and on one drawer. The necklace compartments on the sides do not open like most armoires, you push on it and it pops open. I would not recommend this armoire. I paid $149 for it and it should sell for more like $50, which is what it is worth!! *UPDATE* I have had this armoire for about a week now and I would return it had my family not put the box it came in out to the trash already....this product has such an awful smell that I have had to take it out of my bedroom because the smell gives me a headache! It is a chemical smell and on top of the scratches, paint drips and general overall low quality of this product I feel I am stuck with it since I no longer have the box to return it. Because of the smell I feel I have to take away one of the stars on the rating....please....BUYER BEWARE!!!

Tanita BC554 Ironman Glass InnerScan Body Composition Monitor Elite Series Review

I've used a simple model from Tanita for over 5 years and was as happy as a man with one clock -- I knew exactly what time it was. The added features of the BC554 were irresistable, but now I had 2 sources of data and they were not in agreement by a significant amount (e.g. 3% body fat difference on a base of 16%).

The weight measurement is as good as ever: precise, accurate and consistent. The best that can be said of the other functions is that they seem to be directionally correct and some are simply 'figures of merit', not measurements at all.

Customer support is surprising. When I asked the inevitable questions via their web site, I received a phone call from them. The answers made sense, but only reinforce my assessment.

It seems that the algorithms are based on a statistical sample using gender, age, height, and 'athleticism'. If your actual profile is close to the sample population, the accuracy is probably pretty good. But as you progress toward 'athletic' and away from the calibration population, accuracy declines.

It seems to me that anyone purchasing this model is serious enough about fitness to fall into this 'no man's land'. The other issue is that I would expect some continuity between the measures for 'standard adult' and 'athletic adult'. But there is a chasm! I measured 19% at 'standard' and 9% at 'athletic'. The first is clearly too high and the second is too low. Maybe a calculated average is closer to an accurate reading, but that is a serious shortcoming in a top-of-the-line product.

So, simpler & cheaper is my recommendation. Accept the idea that you are getting directionally correct numbers that are only accurate if you match the calibration population profile.

Bobkona Rylan Vanity Set with Stool, Antique White Review

Every bad review I've seen has said the following:

The stool is junky and broke when sat on by people weighing only 110 lbs: Not true! The only reason I can think of that this would happen to anyone is if they didn't use the washers and tighten the screws all the way. I certainly don't weigh 100 pounds and I've had no problems, it's solid, I've had no trouble with it, and I use it everyday for about an hour at a time, sometimes more.

The desk is too short/can't fit my legs under it: Also, I don't see how this is possible. I'm 5'7" and there is still plenty of room and my legs fit under the desk part just fine. So unless you're a 6'7" female, you're good.

It was packaged poorly: Also, not true. Mine was packaged VERY well, with everything being in it's own individual box inside of other boxes, as well as Styrofoam padding. Mine came perfect, no scratches or dents or anything broken.

It's difficult to put together/instructions aren't clear: Uh, not to be offensive, but if you can't figure this out without instruction's you're probably not too bright. I'm a girl in my early twenties who has never put anything together, and did this in 25 minutes. You DO need an electric drill, which should have been mentioned in the description, but most people (or boyfriends, dads, grandpas,) have one in this day and age. There is only a few things to put together, so I'm not sure what people couldn't figure out.

That the drawers are too small: They are standard size for a vanity and held all of my essentials easily.

The only thing that wasn't perfect about this was that it was missing two small screws. So I went to the dollar store and got 60 billion of them for like a dollar. Problem solved.

Also, it came from frickin' Malaysia and got here (KY) in a week! AND THE SHIPPING WAS FREE!
