I was a bit hesitant after reading the reviews but am so happy I bought it!
It's definitely not your super nice ergonomic chair but lets face it, you need to spend upwards of $400 for one of those.
I would say this chair is in the top of the class under that! Amazing bargain for the $. Ive sat in lots of drafting chairs many much more expensive and this blows them out of the water. It looks quite nice as well.
It did have an offgassing smell when I first pulled the seat pad out of the bag but nothing really offensive and was gone by the next morning. A non issue for me.
As far as the foot rest everyone else is talking about. When you put the chair together you adjust it to where you want it. To change it you need to loosen the screw make the adjustment and tighten again. Honestly I prefer this. My height isn't changing and my desk height isn't either. I can set it in the correct place and its one less thing that can get screwed up with all the knobs and whatnot.
The seat pad looked a little big at first but its perfect. super comfortable.
