Initial review: the chair just arrived unscathed. It was fairly well packed (though they maybe got a little over-zealous with the tape) and in good shape. The leather is not the best quality, but for 180 bones, I wouldn't expect it to be. I've seen a complaint about "cheap leather smell," but I couldn't smell anything unless I stuck my face in it. It's a chair, not a Halloween mask.Installation was a breeze. It's as simple as snapping the casters in, stick the lift in the base, and the chair on the lift. Two screws into each arm and voila, ready-to-sit chair.
It's a slim design, so there's not much padding, but the padding they use is dense, so it doesn't just flatten when you sit on it. I've only spent about an hour on it, but so far, so good. Though I'm not sure how it would hold up to a 6 hour Golden Girls marathon, and the seat cushion is just one large, flat square. No butt contours! The arms are pretty thin, but luckily, padded.
The recline is stiff out of the box and requires a push-off with your feet to stay reclined, but it is adjustable. A few turns and it was easy to get my lean on.
I'm happy with the chair so far. I would give it 4.5 if I could.
